Perfect example and all the more reason for an option...some folks like it, some don't. For anything that could have a user preference, opt for giving the user control over it if at all possible.

Just a suggestion......
Could you ad a way to change the file and folder name?
You know, like a Name-Year format or something?

Thanks Again

To revert to the normal grid sizes just create a custom view and in the layout - select standard grid.

We have stayed away from doing anything to the file system (such as renaming). Right now I do not see that changing.

Thank you

Taknakhan - with all the posts - I am re-posting the instructions to send us your folder structure.

It may be better if people start creating new threads for different issues rather than bogging down this single thread. It will also make it easier for people to search.

Here are those instructions:

OK

We think we know what may be going on there. Can you run the following command from a command prompt and send us the resulting file. This will create a file in your C:\temp folder named movietree.txt which will have the structure of your folders and files for us to analyze. Replace <PATH_TO_YOUR_MOVIES> with the root path that is giving you problems.

tree "<PATH_TO_YOUR_MOVIES>" /F > "C:\temp\movietree.txt"

Rather than uploading the file here, just send an email to support@shugrmedia.com with the file attached and we will take a look.

Thank you

RE: Many issues with newest update
OK - we are pushing out the next minor release today. This includes the following fixes:

1. Validate custom extensions before adding
2. Display TV posters while offline
3. Added sync folder and file naming formats (Taknakhan's sync issue)
4. More support for snapped view while playing a movie
5. Performance fix for anyone using the ALL videos setting in a view
6. Support for German and Hindi languages (Italian will be moved to a later release)

I will post back when the release is live in the Windows store.

Thank you

Last time I tried the custom views, the app would crash repeatedly on startup if I had a custom view as my start view. I had to uninstall & reinstall it. Is that working now?

As soon as I have access to the PC in question again, I will be sending it.

RE: Many issues with newest update
A heads up for everyone who had issues with the alt-tab switching and having the app crash. We've finally isolated the problem and are working to get it resolved quickly. Hoping to have an update out in the next couple of days.

Confused
Are there many people that are having most of the data disappearing?
My Genres and Plots are permanently There but none of my "Staring", "Supporting" rolls or other data is there.
As soon as I turn it off, everything except Genres and Plots are gone when I bring it back up.... Exclamation

Plus.... keeps the "Release Year" there, but when I aks to put them in order of "Release Year"...... They all are in an unknown folder now....
All of this just started happening about 3 weeks ago.
