Just an update here - the new release is being pushed to the Windows Store today.

A couple of the feature enhancements you will see include:
  • Ability to remove advertising
  • Ability to download and view TV series meta-data content
  • Ability to group/ungroup items
  • Ability to rename items
  • Ability to manually select posters
  • Ability to manually add extensions to add to your collection
  • Improved resume playback functionality
  • Collection statistics report
  • Submit forum feedback and support requests from within the app

Just updated to the latest version and I'm pleased with the changes. The ability to read .mkv files was a big plus. Also like the statistical collection and the ability to group movie files together. I purchased the "Pro Plus" upgrade so that I could edit files. However, after purchasing the upgrade I still unable to edit files. I get message that I still have to purchase the option. Is this an instant update or do I have to enter a code to receive the upgrade. I've closed and reopen the app and still unable to edit my files on the fly. Please advise.

Glad to hear you like the changes and thank you for your support.

We actually do not manage the purchases - Microsoft handles all of that through their Windows Store - all the app receives is a flag that states Microsoft has a purchase on file for the device launching the app. If you can attach your log file, we can send a note to Microsoft to determine if they had a glitch in their system or if your purchase did not go through, in which case you would not be charged.

Thanks for your reply. I was able to upgrade successfully after resubmitting my order. The order wasn't processed on the first attempt. Is it possible that you could allow us to edit the genre, like we can edit the title. Right now I have several titles with genre unknown. Also when I group several movies together the movie poster disappear on the main screen, but remains on the detail screen. If I ungroup the movies, the poster return. The movies have the same titles, but is differentiated by disc 1 or disc 2.

Glad everything is working.

Yes - we will be adding full editing capabilities.

For the group - the reason the poster is disappearing is because there is not an official collection poster for what you are grouping. In a collection with 2 discs - there are actually 3 items that can have posters and info - Disc 1, Disc 2, and the collection itself. When a collection exists from our providers, we use that info (see Austin Powers collection). Where there is no collection, we let you pick whatever you want.

To replace the group poster do the following:

- Group the discs together
- Click on the group to go into the details
- Right click to bring up the app bar (make sure you have not selected either of the discs)
- Click the Get Poster and Details button
- Select which poster and info you want to use for the group

That should take care of it.

When I tried to open Movie Premier yesterday I just got a spinning wheel. I rebooted my laptop and retried and still it would not open. I had to uninstalled and re-installed the application in order for it to open. This is the second time I've had to re-installed the application. It's seems to happen when I insert a different external hard drive. The screen would not go pass the initial splash screen. Please advise.
