MP0100.0001: NAS collection synchronization and movie playback may fail
MP0100.0001: Collection synchronization and movie playback may fail under certain NAS configurations in Movie Premier for Windows 8

Users with certain Server and NAS environment configurations will experience an application failure while trying to synchronize their collection, synchronize an individual movie, and while trying to play a movie.

Update 1: This has been confirmed as a bug in the Microsoft Library implementation. Microsoft is currently working on a resolution. In the interim, we are working on an acceptable workaround to provide users with the ability to access their NAS based content.

Users with Windows 7, Windows Home Server, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server 2012 can use HomeGroup as an alternative for now. This has been tested and confirmed to work properly.

Update 2: We have released an update to Microsoft that provides an alternative to using Libraries as the only method to include items in your collection. Users will have the ability to include local and network folders in addition to individual movie folders in their collection. Our website documentation has already been updated and released.

It can take up to 5 days for Microsoft to make the update available in the Windows Store. The updated Movie Premier version is

Users who have the option of using HomeGroup to share network files should access their collection through HomeGroup.
